A verified atelier, not a trading desk

Telula Gray designs, casts, sets and finishes under one roof in Yancheng, Jiangsu. Every stage — from wax to final polish — is performed by our own team, audited on site, and documented for our partners. This page is the short version of what a brand due-diligence visit would show you.

TÜV Rheinland verified credentials

Our facility has been audited on site by TÜV Rheinland, one of the world’s largest independent testing and certification bodies. The verification covers our legal identity, production floor, equipment inventory, quality-control records and export documentation — the same evidence pack your compliance team will ask for.

Credential Detail
On-site factory auditTÜV Rheinland verified supplier report — premises, capacity and process control inspected in person.
Business licenceRegistered jewelry manufacturer and exporter, Yancheng, Jiangsu, China.
Metal assayEvery alloy batch XRF-tested and logged; stamping compliant with international hallmark rules.

Vacuum induction casting

We cast under vacuum with induction melting rather than torch-and-centrifuge. Metal is melted in a sealed chamber, injected into the flask under vacuum and pressure, then quenched under controlled conditions. The result is the reason our pieces can hold 0.8 mm walls and pave settings without porosity:

  • No oxidation during melt. Oxygen is removed from the chamber, so the alloy chemistry stays exactly as assayed — critical for white gold colour and for 950 platinum.
  • Denser grain structure. Vacuum-assisted fill eliminates gas porosity, so prongs survive re-tipping and polishing does not open pits.
  • Tight dimensional fidelity. Castings come out close to the CAD volume, which keeps gold weight predictable to within 3%.
  • Alloy range. 18K / 14K / 10K / 9K gold in yellow, white and rose; 950 platinum; sterling silver for sampling.

Downstream: rubber-mould and direct-investment casting, laser welding for repairs and sizing, and a finishing line with magnetic polishing, rhodium plating and hand-brushing.

Setting under 40× magnification

Every setter works at a bench microscope with 10×–40× magnification and 6500K daylight-balanced lighting. Stones are seated, not pressed: each prong is raised, fitted, tightened and then re-inspected under magnification before the piece leaves the bench.

  • Styles: four-prong, six-prong, cathedral, bezel, French pave, micro-pave, channel, three-stone, halo and hidden halo, tennis and cascade settings.
  • Tolerances: pave seats drilled to ±0.02 mm; girdles checked for even coverage so no stone sits proud or sunken.
  • Stone security test: each piece is ultrasonic-cleaned, steam-blasted and then probed stone-by-stone with a setting pick — a step most factories skip.
  • Final QC: 100% visual inspection at 10× against the approved CAD render, with photo documentation per unit.

IGI & GIA diamond sorting

Loose stones arrive in parcels and are sorted in-house before they ever touch a setting bench. Our stone team grades and matches by measurement, not by eye alone:

Step What happens
VerificationIGI lab-grown and GIA natural certificates checked against laser inscriptions; certificate numbers logged against your order.
MeasurementDigital caliper and gauge screening: diameter, depth, table percentage — then colour and clarity matched parcel-to-parcel.
CalibrationStones are calibrated to your seat sizes (e.g. 1.20 mm melee, 6.5 mm centre) so pave lines stay perfectly even.
TraceabilityEach parcel is photographed and weighed on receipt; stone counts reconcile at packing.
AlternativesNatural sapphire (including Ceylon and unheated), Colombian emerald and pigeon-blood ruby sourced to your spec.

Conflict-free ethics

We buy only from suppliers who can document origin, and we will not cast a stone we cannot trace. This is a commercial position as much as an ethical one — your brand will be asked the same questions by your customers.

  • Kimberley Process compliant natural diamond supply, certified at parcel level.
  • No undisclosed treated or fracture-filled stones — every treatment is declared on the invoice.
  • Lab-grown disclosure in line with FTC guidance: IGI-certified stones are always identified as lab-grown in writing and on the certificate.
  • Recycled gold available on request, with chain-of-custody notes for the alloy batch.
  • Fair-labour floor: documented working hours, on-site safety equipment and no subcontracting of setting work outside our verified facility.

Private label & white label services

We manufacture behind your brand and stay invisible. From a single hero SKU to a full seasonal drop, the programme covers:

Your mark, our bench

Laser engraving of your logo, brand signature and serial numbers; hallmarking to your market’s requirement (UK, US, EU, AU).

Packaging & inserts

Unbranded or branded boxes, pouches, polishing cloths, care cards and warranty inserts — assembled and packed to your spec.

Drop-ship ready

Neutral cartons with your label artwork, per-unit polybagging, and a packing list without supplier branding.

Documentation

Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, stone certificates and XRF assay sheet — all in your brand’s name.

Lead times: sampling 10–15 working days after CAD approval; bulk 20–30 working days depending on setting density. Capacity is reserved per client per month so your re-orders do not queue behind volume accounts.

Visit the atelier — physically or virtually

We host factory tours in Yancheng and live video walk-throughs of the casting floor and setting benches. Ask for the TÜV Rheinland report and we will send the full pack under NDA.
